Merry Christmas!

So this year we decided not to go into the woods to find a tree. It was one of the wisest decisions we have ever made. We ran to the Christmas tree lot, picked out a smallish skinny tree (our living room is tiny) and headed home. Michael cut the bottom off and I heated up dinner. On a side note, egg quiche does not freeze and reheat well. Just saying.

So, we got the tree in the stand and it was straight the FIRST TIME! The kids enjoyed putting the decorations wherever they wanted and they only broke one ornament between the three of them. The tree skirt is crooked, all the glass ornaments are on the top third, and the ornaments are not very evenly distributed but it is a beautiful tree. I keep looking at it and smiling. It is covered with ornaments given to and made for us and it smells great.

And because no Christmas tree is complete without presents the kids have been wrapping up their "treasures" to give to one another. All at once now..."Awwwww!"
