Life with busy parents and four kids rarely have perfect moments. People may have individual good moments but it seems like at least one person is unhappy, loud, teasing, or stressed at any given time.
We bought a propane fire pit. On a cold, rainy Saturday night we decided to make pie iron pizzas and s'mores. Then Ethan brought out his Kindle (that a kind, wise, wonderful Santa Claus brought him for Christmas after his great Kindle sadness of earlier) and started some music. What followed was a rare, perfect moment. People were dancing and people were eating; we were having the best backyard party ever. And, in that perfect moment, I realized how worth it it all is.

the yard looks great! did you do just a shed or a garage? Miss you all! I would have loved to crash the party.
