My family decided we needed to get together before kids started moving across the country. We asked Michael's aunt for use of the Crouch cabin, and then carefully watched the weather and the fires reports. The air quality was iffy, but the forest fire was contained so we decided it was safe to go up. And we were safe. We were also trapped inside for most of the day, as the air quality was horrific. If was had taken up smoking it would have only improved the air. So what did we do while trapped inside?
We attempted a puzzle. It was a earnest attempt, but we did not prevail.
We put the children to work.
We played a lot of card games.
And the cousins played some video games,
At the end of each day, everyone found deep sleep.
In the afternoons the smoke would clear a little bit, and we made the most of it!
Despite the less than ideal conditions, we still managed to enjoy the company. I can't complain about being trapped inside with some of my favorite people in the world.
