Prom

Grace is only a sophomore, but, she still had the opportunity to attend prom. Her best friend is a junior and invited Grace as her plus one. Grace and Lily have been friends since they were eight years old, and are now inseparable.

Grace and I went to every thrift store in Boise, visited the mall, ordered a vest off of Amazon, and she still was not happy with the options. On prom night, she pulled this black vest out of her closet (where it had been the whole time) added some red buttons and a tie, put on the thrifted pants and went to prom. I managed to keep my head from exploding.  Prom shopping is my personal seventh circle of hell. So far I have taken two daughters prom clothes shopping, and I have barely survived. So.many.big.emotions.

After everyone got dressed (Lily spent $15 on her dress at a thrift store) we added a few flowers, and Michael took them out for a photo shoot. The pictures might have made the whole struggle worth it.

I love these girls!
