Kids Say…

Okay, this post is a little overdue (roughly 12 months) and has been sitting in my email drafts folder waiting for me to do something with it.
Katie asked a series of questions to both kids and posted their answers in an email to me.  Libby was three and Ethan was five.  Here is the result:
Ethan, Age 5:
1. What is something mom always says to you?
Do this, Do that, do blah blah blah
2. What makes mom happy?
Doing what I am told, blah blah blah
3. What makes mom sad?
Not listening.
4. How does your mom make you laugh?
Making silly face
5. What was your mom like as a child?
I don't know.  How ‘bout you tell me?
6. How old is your mom?
I don't know.
7. How tall is your mom?
I'd guess 30 feet.
8. What is her favorite thing to do?
Play with us.
9. What does your mom do when you're not around?
Stay home.
10. If your mom becomes famous, what will it be for?
*Shrug*
11. What is your mom really good at?
Candyland.
12. What is your mom not very good at?
Hide and Seek.  That because I guess you’re a little to wide to hide behind trees.
13. What does your mom do for a job?
Hmm.  Doing chores.
14.What is your mom's favorite food?
Broccoli
15.What makes you proud of your mom?
Doing a somersault.
16. If your mom were a cartoon character, who would she be?
A princess.
17. What do you and your mom do together?
Sometimes play board games.
18. How are you and your mom the same?
We are both people.
19. How are you and your mom different?
’Cause I'm a boy and mom's a girl.
20. How do you know your mom loves you?
Cause at night you give me hugs and kisses.
21. What does your mom like most about your dad?
That I don't know.
22. Where is your mom's favorite place to go?
Grocery shopping.

Not cleaning up our room.

Taller than mom.

I think paint.
9. What does your dad do when you're not around?
Just think where we are.

Making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
12. What is your dad not very good at?
Dancing on my foot.
13. What does your dad do for a job?
Work

Easter 2010




The Tooth Fairy is Going Broke


Ethan just lost his third tooth. Soon he will be our toothless wonder. I don't think tooth number four is that far behind. In case you are wondering, that is a bathrobe he is wearing. His tooth became very loose during breakfast and I made him pull it the rest of the way out.

Things I am Thankful For

I am so thankful for a digital camera and rechargeable batteries. When I was a kid I would have been in big trouble if I took 2 dozen pictures on my Mom's camera. I still remember the punishments that followed after we had a flash war with the flash bulbs on dad's expensive camera. I am thankful that it doesn't cost me a small fortune to let Ethan and Libby take pictures like these:
