The sun was shining and remarkably, no one had a previous commitment. We had to take advantage of the minor miracle. We headed up Eighth Street, parked the car, and started hiking.
We ended up at the Foothills Interpretive Center.
I guess kids never get too big to play on a swing.
It wasn't a long hike and it wasn't a perfect hike (there is always someone bickering; is that normal?), but it was a beautiful hike. It was amazing to just have everybody together for a brief moment. Where's Michael, you might be asking? Dogs aren't allowed at the Center or the paths leading up to it, so he stayed behind with Harley.
