It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...Valentine's Day?

We have only had a couple snow dustings all winter long. Last week we were hiking the foothills wearing t-shirts. My flower bulbs were sending up green little shoots. I've been eyeing all the seeds already stocked in the store. Spring was out in full force and it was lovely.

As we approached Valentine's Day, winter remembered itself. It realized there had been no snow all season and decided to give it to us all at once. Currently we have over six inches and it is still coming down.

We had to put away the gardening trowel and find the mittens and snow bibs. Everyone went sledding, several times. The living room was covered with dripping boots and coats. The neighborhood was covered in white, and we are enjoying every single moment of it.

This is Travis. Our newest addition. We will enjoy him while he is here.
