Just December

Don't we all need a swing in the living room? Thankfully it's not a permanent addition, but it did make for a fun afternoon.

Just swinging in the living room, wearing a tux. Nothing to see here.

Sam once again sang bass in his choir. There are only two basses in the choir, and on the performance night the other bass was sick. Sam was a nervous wreck, but he stood up and sang his heart out. He got lost a couple of times, but always managed to find his way back to his part. He has learned so many skills in choir, not the least of which is courage to do scary things.

In the middle of the month we headed to the zoo on a cold, snowy day for my Christmas work party.

The hot cocoa was weak, the weather was cold, but the carousel was open!

Sam's enthusiasm was contagious.

We found the giraffe.

And we ended December passing this around. Temps, chills, and general malaise. Most of us recovered quickly, but Michael decided to incorporate an ear infection that made him miserable and required several trips to our GP and an ENT specialist. Who knew fungal ear infections were a thing? I didn't and feel like I could have happily lived my whole life not knowing there was black stuff growing in Michael's ear.

December, like always, was crazy. Which is just about normal.
