I guess I haven't updated the blog in a while. Michael went back to school and I went to being overwhelmed. I am so glad this is his last semester. He is taking 15 credits and still working 36 hours a week. During the week the kids see him for a total of about 6 hours. But this too shall pass.
We have been stressed and busy, but keeping up with what needed to be done. That is until about a week ago. Libby got a fever, then two days later Ethan got a fever, and a day later Michael was struck. There is also a cough, congestion, and a bit of vomiting to make things interesting. So on Monday I took the babies in to the Doctor. Ethan was just sick but Libby's had morphed into an ear infection. So for the first time ever I got antibiotics for one of my children. Ethan just had to suffer through everything on his own. Finally last night (Thursday) Ethan's fever broke and he seems to be on the mend.
Meanwhile, Michael has been as sick, if not sicker, then the kids. My personal opinion is that he was just so worn down that it struck him the hardest. He missed three days of work this week and all but a couple of classes. He went to those so he could take the tests. I have been lucky in that I've only developed a chest cold. Everyone in the house should be thankful for that, as I am the one who kept everyone medicated and got up with everyone all night long. I don't know how I escaped getting more sick.
This morning I woke up with a light heart thinking that everyone was on the mend. Life can get back to normal and I will soon see the outside of the apartment. Life is looking up. Michael had been complaining about his eyes but I dismissed it as congestion. He said he thought he had pink eye. I chuckled to myself at his overreaction. Then I saw his eyes. He looked like a vampire with a hangover. So off he went to the Dr. and..... he has pinkeye. He was still allowed to go to work and I have spent all day doing laundry and wiping down anything he may have thought about touching. I just can't handle an outbreak of pinkeye now. If I am stuck in the house with sick babies any longer I am going to lose my mind. Maybe I will just make Michael stay at work for the next 24 hours. I'll let him come home when he is no longer contagious. Heck, we could use the extra money anyway.
